On August 3, the village of Akkol celebrated its 90th anniversary, a significant event that brought together not only local residents but also guests from across the region. The festive program included concert performances, traditional Kazakh games, sports competitions, a fair, and the participation of artists and local talents.

In honor of the anniversary, yurts were set up by the town's main enterprises and organizations. The Ekibastuzskaya GRES-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov also contributed to the celebration by setting up a yurt and providing a warm welcome for the guests, creating an atmosphere of unity, respect for history, and love for one's native land.
