The Forum on Industrial Safety "Safe Way – The Way to Safety" was held at Samruk-Energy JSC.
The forum was attended by representatives of government agencies, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, portfolio companies of the Fund, as well as heads of subsidiaries and occupational safety services of Samruk-Energy JSC.
Opening the forum, Kairat Maksutov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Energy JSC, noted that industrial safety is an unconditional strategic priority of the Company.
"Our goal is to move from reacting to preventing. The leadership of managers determines the level of safety culture. Personal example, integrity, demandingness, and zero tolerance for risk create real changes," said the head of Samruk-Energy, wishing the forum participants effective collaboration.
In his speech, Yerbol Yelekeyev, Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Sector at Samruk-Kazyna JSC, emphasized the steady decline in occupational injuries in the Samruk-Energy group of companies. He also noted that the CEO of Samruk-Energy has been recognized as the most engaged CEO in occupational safety among the Fund's portfolio companies, serving as an example of responsible and proactive leadership.
As part of the event, the results of the 2025 occupational safety activities were summarized, and current issues related to risk management and measures to improve the effectiveness of preventive work were discussed.
The forum also honored employees of subsidiaries who demonstrated the best results in the field of occupational safety. According to the assessment of corporate occupational safety indicators, Ust-Kamenogorsk Hydroelectric Power Station and Ekibastuz Thermal Power Station-2 were recognized as the leaders among subsidiaries.
