On July 13, 2024, the amateur sports competition "Summer Fishing" on Lake Zhangeldy was held at Ekibastuz GRES-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov LLP. The largest fish, weighing 1 kilogram 285 grams, was caught by Nabi Nurlybekovich Abishev, a mechanic for the repair of equipment at the KiPPC workshop for the repair of vessels, fittings and pipelines. His fishing skills were unsurpassed.

Despite the hot day, all the participants were able to catch their trophy, and no one left without a catch.
