During a working trip to the enterprises of the Ekibastuz power complex of the Samruk-Energo company, to the power plant of Ekibastuz GRES-1 LLP named after Bulata Nurzhanova" Chairman of the Board of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna" Nurlan Zhakupov arrived. During the visit, he examined the block control panel of power unit No. 1 and got acquainted with the progress of work on its restoration. After commissioning of power unit No. 1 at the end of this year, the installed capacity of the station will be 4000 MW. The aim of the project is to increase the available capacity of the plant to the design capacity, meet demand and reduce the shortage of electricity in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the restoration of the power unit, new jobs were created for 500-700 people, 54 people will be involved during operation. It will also ensure compliance with environmental standards through the installation of modern electric filters. The implementation of the project "Restoration of power Unit No. 1" is planned to be completed on time.

 

Currently, the station is undergoing major repairs of power unit No. 3. Long-term contracts for the supply of coal have been concluded. Repair work is going on as planned, their procedure has been coordinated with the national dispatch center of the system operator JSC "KEGOS". There is a systematic accumulation of coal in warehouses by the OZP 2023-2024.
