June 5 we celebrate World Environment Day! This day is an important event for environmentalists and environmental organizations, as it is aimed at drawing public attention to environmental problems and stimulating actions in terms of its conservation.

 

As part of the celebration of this special day, a creative competition was held at Ekibastuz GRES-1 among the station's employees, entitled "Take care of planet Earth – our wonderful home!". This competition was held from May 17 to June 5, 2023 and included three interesting nominations.

 

In the category "Garbage Fantasy" we accepted fakes from junk material, garbage and unnecessary things. In the nomination "Creativity without Borders", participants could present their products made of natural materials reflecting the theme of the competition. In the nomination "Drawing in non-traditional technique" we evaluated plasticine paintings and drawings made in various ways.

 

This competition has become a wonderful way to emphasize the importance of environmental protection and to show that each of us can contribute to improving the environmental situation in the region.
