Energy from the Inside: Students’ Tour of GRES-1

On September 10, Ekibastuz GRES-1 hosted an educational tour for students of the Ekibastuz College of the Engineering and Technical Institute named after Academician Satpayev.

As part of the career guidance meeting, the future specialists learned about the station’s operations, production processes, modern power equipment, and the specifics of working at one of Kazakhstan’s largest energy enterprises.

The tour was led by Senior Operations Engineer Askar Amandeldi. He introduced the students to the station’s operations, showed them a model of GRES-1, explained the structure and functions of the main production facilities, and answered their questions.

The students had an opportunity to see the operations of an energy enterprise from the inside and gain a better understanding of the knowledge and skills required to work in the industry.

Particular attention was paid to professional development opportunities and prospects for future employment in their chosen field.
