The International Labour Organization (ILO) has declared April 28 as World Occupational Safety and Health Day, or World Workplace Safety and Health Day, in order to draw the attention of the world community to the scale of the problem, as well as to how the creation and promotion of a culture of occupational safety and health can help reduce annual deaths in the workplace.
